Diani Prince-Drew

Diani Prince-Drew is a Vincentian-born philanthropist, lawyer, and former diplomat who now proudly calls Saint Kitts and Nevis home, where she has dedicated herself to advancing social development and community empowerment. Driven by a deep commitment to creating meaningful change, Mrs. Prince-Drew founded The Joy Project, a nonprofit organization dedicated to empowering and uplifting vulnerable members of society in Saint Kitts and Nevis, with a particular emphasis on women and children. The organization’s mission is to foster a sustainable future in which every individual feels valued, safe, and capable of flourishing with dignity. She is also deeply passionate about the arts, women’s empowerment, sustainable development, and social justice, and remains committed to advancing these causes in her adopted home of Saint Kitts and Nevis.

Mrs. Prince-Drew brings to this work an extensive professional background in criminal and international law, foreign policy, and public policy. Throughout her professional career, she served as In-House Counsel for the National Insurance Services (Saint Vincent and the Grenadines), a Board Member of the National Standards Council, which is the main policy organ of the Saint Vincent and the Grenadines Bureau of Standards, and as Crown Counsel in the Office of the Director of Public Prosecutions (Saint Vincent and the Grenadines). In her role as Crown Counsel, she prosecuted criminal cases including homicides, robbery, sexual offences, and other offences against the person. She also represented the Crown in criminal appeals at the OECS Court of Appeal and advised the police and various government agencies on criminal matters.

In her diplomatic career, Mrs. Prince-Drew served at the Permanent Mission of Saint Vincent and the Grenadines to the United Nations for nearly five years, where she held positions as Legal Adviser, Deputy Political Coordinator, and Special Adviser on matters related to international peace and security. She later served as Special Envoy to the European Union, coordinating Saint Vincent and the Grenadines’ engagement with the European Union during its Pro-Tempore Presidency of the Community of Latin American and Caribbean States (CELAC).

Mrs. Prince-Drew is an alumna of the University of the West Indies, Cave Hill Campus (Barbados), and the Hugh Wooding Law School (Trinidad). She was also the first United Nations International Law Fellow from Saint Vincent and the Grenadines.

She is married to The Honourable Dr. Terrance Drew, Prime Minister of Saint Kitts and Nevis.
