The Joy Project Continues Vision of Joy Programme in Partnership with Eyes First
The Joy Project has successfully completed another year of its Vision of Joy programme, providing children in Saint Kitts and Nevis with free professional eye examinations and prescription eyeglasses where required.
This year marks the second consecutive year that The Joy Project has partnered with Eyes First to deliver the programme, continuing a collaboration focused on supporting children’s eye health and overall wellbeing.
Through Vision of Joy, participating children received comprehensive eye examinations conducted by qualified optometrists. Where prescription glasses were required, these were also provided at no cost to families.
The Joy Project extends its sincere appreciation to Eyes First and its entire team for once again partnering with the organisation and providing their professional expertise throughout the programme:
Byron Andrew, Optometrist and Owner
Annushka Andrew, Operations Manager and Owner
Jevon Andrew, Manager
Michael Akosile, Optometrist
Sharlene Pariall, Office Manager
Marcha Matthew, Secretary/Optometric Assistant
Clevorn Thompson, Optometric Assistant/Lab Technician
The programme was also made possible with the generous support of the Embassy of the Republic of China (Taiwan)and Ambassador Tao, whose contribution supported The Joy Project’s continued work with children and families across Saint Kitts and Nevis.
The Joy Project also expresses its appreciation to KayanJet and its Chairman, Dr. Uday Nayak, for supporting Vision of Joy and for their continued partnership with the organisation.
Founder and Executive Director of The Joy Project, Diani Prince-Drew, said the continuation of the programme reflects the organisation’s focus on initiatives that can make a practical difference in children’s lives.
“Vision plays such an important role in how children learn, participate in school and experience the world around them. We are pleased to partner with Eyes First for a second year and grateful to all of our partners who helped us provide this programme to children and families.”
The Joy Project thanks every parent, guardian and child who participated in this year’s Vision of Joy programme.
The organisation remains focused on creating opportunities that support children’s wellbeing, development and ability to thrive.
