The Joy Project Celebrates Completion of Government Primary Schools Phase of Cool Schools Initiative
What began as a simple idea to make our classrooms cooler and more comfortable has grown into one of The Joy Project’s largest undertakings to date.
Through our Cool Schools Initiative, we have now completed the Government Primary Schools phase, installing ceiling fans in classrooms across every Government Primary School in St. Kitts.
This journey went far beyond installing fans. It meant wiring and preparing classrooms, replacing fans that were no longer working, and working closely with the Ministry of Education and our technical team to get the job done.
With an investment of close to EC$100,000, we are proud of what we have been able to accomplish together for our children and teachers.
We extend our sincere thanks to KayanJet and its Chairman, Dr. Uday Nayak, and Mrs. Nayak, whose generous donation of 250 ceiling fans provided the foundation for this phase of the initiative. We also thank the Government of Switzerland and Mr. Ernest Amory, Honorary Consul General of Switzerland, for their support of The Joy Project and contribution towards advancing our work.
We are equally grateful to all of our other donors and supporters who contributed to the success of this initiative.
